First Baptist Church New Hill

Rev. Benjamin F. Davis Jr., comes from Holly Springs, NC a small community just outside of Raleigh, NC. Under the direction of Pastor Victor Galloway, he serves as associate Pastor with First Baptist Church New Hill where he has served for the past 18 years.

Born in Hope, Arkansas, Pastor Davis grew up in a family where he heard the Gospel and saw it lived out among other family members. Seeking to follow Jesus, he gave his life to Christ at an early age through the teachings of his father and mother and many aunts and uncles who demonstrated the way of following Christ. 

Benjamin accepted the call into the ministry in 1981 under the leadership of Pastor Harry Mays of New Morning Star MBC in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He then went on to serve with many great men of God in Pine Bluff who furnished him with a strong foundation and platform of faith. This foundation has taken him to many cities in the US and allowed him to serve in the capacity of teacher, discipleship training and associate pastor over the years. 

Benjamin is passionate about the gospel, the local church, his wife Sandra, their three children, seven grandchildren, one great grand child, parents who are still alive and active, and serving the creator of the universe.

Benjamin's greatest desire is that his life will be what is written in Genesis 18:19: "For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just,..." and I Corinthians 14: 3 "But he that prophesies [speaks forth God's Word and God's Will] speaks unto the listeners edification [words that build them up in their minds] by exhortation[encouragement] and comfort [gentle speech]."
